Ashley + Ben - A wedding at The Filter Building on White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas
My super busy season and having a baby has prevented me from blogging as much as I would have liked this past year so I am excited each time I get to showoff another wedding from the past. I fell in love with Ashley and Ben over the phone when Ashley first contacted me. Only because her name is Ashley and so is mine and my husband’s name is Ben and so is hers. My first and only same name couple deserves some major props.
They were married at the coolest place. It’s called the Filter Building and it’s just off of White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas. It was seriously a dream. Old brick building with cement floors, with tons of windows and charm. Their wedding was simple and sweet. Lots of greens and whites with pops of color here and there, my fave. Honestly, the building and the beautiful lake they were married in front of were enough to look at but all the touches of eucalyptus and lit candles just made it that much more perfect.
Ashley and Ben are go-getters and a power couple. They are smart, beautiful, and charming. And they are so loved by all of their people. It was so fun to watch everybody celebrate their love. Ashley’s bridesmaids had the most memorable toasts. Her matron of honor, who Ashley had been friends with since childhood, brought out a life size portrait of Ashley when she was young and had a bullcut. Her maid of honor performed an awesome rap time lining their friendship and she dropped the mic afterward. It was epic.
Seriously, some of my favorite parts of a wedding are not only watching the union of two people who love each other, but also watching their family celebrate and love on them. This wedding was so pretty and so fun. Please enjoy.
